DEN OF DISRUPTION ENTRY RULES

  • The competition is open to colleagues to participate in the Den of Disruption which invites colleagues to submit (and where short-listed, present) ideas in a range of categories in support of the businesses goals.

  • The competition is open to all Iceland and The Food Warehouse employees whether based in our retail stores or at Deeside Head Office. Not including directors or anyone otherwise involved in any part of the administration of organisation of the competition.

  • The competition opens on 21 March 2026 and closes on 18 April 2026. Entries received outside of these dates will not be considered.

  • Entries must be submitted by completing the entry form on denofdisruption.co.uk only.

  • Shortlisted entries will be notified by 12 June 2026.

  • All short-listed colleagues will need to be available to come to Deeside Head Office for the afternoon of 7 July for rehearsals. The Den of Disruption event itself will be held on 8 July 2026 at Opera Grill, Chester.

  • Winners will be notified directly by a member of management after July 8th 2026.

  • If a short-listed entrant is for any reason not available to present their idea on the day of the event, they can select another colleague to present on their behalf, provided this is first notified to the competition organisers.

  • There will be one overall winner selected from all short-listed colleagues by an appointed judging panel consisting of Iceland Foods Ltd employees.

  • The overall winner will win a top prize of £5000. There will be up to five runner up prizes of £1000 each.

  • Ideas maybe presented jointly by up to two colleagues working together. Any prize money won in relation to a joint idea will be shared equally between each joint member on a 50:50 basis.

  • In the event where the judging panel identify that two or more colleagues submitted the same or substantially similar ideas, they may be asked to work together to pitch the idea as a group. Any prize money awarded would be shared equally amongst members of that group.

  • Prize money is paid tax-free.

  • Prize money will be paid in the week / month in which the winners are announced directly into the winners’ bank account by BACS.

  • The winners must be employed and not working any period of notice at the time of the winner announcements.

  • By applying, each entrant gives consent to be filmed throughout the competition journey and for the final film to be released internally as Iceland require.

  • Your idea must be your original work.

  • Maximum of one entry per person.

  • All ideas submitted shall be the property of Iceland Foods Ltd and not the individual.

  • The individual shall not be entitled to claim any profit that may be gained as a result of an idea being implemented by Iceland, such profit belonging exclusively to Iceland Foods Ltd.

  • Due to the number of entries, Iceland Foods Ltd will not be able to provide feedback on every idea submitted. Colleagues will only be contacted by 12 June 2026 in the event that their idea has been short listed.

  • The Judging panel’s decision is final.
